Here’s My System Cleanup Checklist
I believe in complete transparency regarding the work I'm doing on YOUR computer, either remotely or in my home office. I will ONLY do the work we've discussed or that is covered in my System Cleanup blog posts for your review. You are welcome to read those and ask any questions.
I'm also more thorough in my work than in many other places. They rush through it because many other computers are waiting in the queue, and their work is not personalized to your needs.
If a computer has signs of malware, work will be done to bring it to a usable state long enough to backup data and either reset Windows or do a clean install. A compromised computer cannot be cleaned, it must be rebuilt.
Here's a bullet-point list of what I do during a System Cleanup, although certain items will be adjusted or added to suit your needs.
