Kevin’s Picks: Why I Recommend Using Start11 Instead of the Windows 11 Start Menu

In this Quick Tip, I will talk about the frustrating so-called Start Menu in Windows 11, and the program you can install to replace it, called Start11, and have a much more usable Start Menu. I will also walk you through how to download and install Start11.

In Windows 11, they clearly haven’t learned from their mistakes and once again introduced a newly designed so-called Start Menu. There is a LOT of wasted space, and all of the “apps” are hidden behind a barely noticeable “All apps” button. People have hated it instantly.

So…a solution. A podcast turned me on to a program called START11 from Stardock. It’s about $10CDN. It’s a very polished, much more usable Start Menu similar to Windows 7 and 10. You can customize it as well. On the left, you have a list of all of the installed programs and Windows features.
