How To Guides: System Cleanup Series
These are the same steps I use when doing a proper System Cleanup, and I encourage you to try them yourself. This guide walks you through exactly what I recommend and why it works.
First, thank you for being a paid subscriber and supporting my work. I wrote these guides to provide complete transparency regarding the process I follow regarding what I consider to be a proper System Cleanup.
Please follow some or all of these steps on your own. In fact, I encourage that.

Your Computer Needs A Cleanup
When did you last perform a System Cleanup, or had one done? More importantly, when was it done well?
If you need help remembering, your computer needs one. I follow many of these same steps when I do a New System Setup. This is often due to pre-installed bundled software.
Even if a Cleanup has been done, it may have yet to be done properly and personalized to your needs. I'm not usually that direct, but it’s true.
Keep in mind that I have 20 years of experience doing this.
I have yet to sit down in front of a client's computer without noticing things I can do to improve performance and make it more user-friendly and less frustrating.
This includes computers where another supposed IT professional has done a System Cleanup. Still, the client ended up unhappy due to rushed work or simply not taking pride in their work, and the client decided to call me instead.
